Running a restaurant in VR is something that I enjoy doing, there’s just something fun about making food and serving customers as fast as you possibly can. So when I’m Hungry was announced, I was interested to try it out. So, Is I’m Hungry any good?
I’m hungry is a game that puts you into a food truck where you have to serve costumers as fast as possible. The game has no story, but it really doesn’t need one.
The gameplay is pretty simple. A customer walks up to your truck, gives you the order, and then you’ll have to serve them. The food items are standard American foods, such as, burgers, fries, ice cream, and soda. Each food has their own machine to operate, but you’ll pretty much just be pressing buttons and pulling levers. Once you get the meal ready you’ll have to pull out a bag and package the meal. It’s a simple but fun concept that doesn’t really innovate in any way.
The game has two game modes, career, and challenge. Career has you going level by level serving people, and challenge has you endlessly serving customers. You can also unlock a harder mode for each game mode.
One unique thing about the game is that you can upgrade your machines with the money you make while serving customers. These machines will help you serve customers faster.
So overall, I enjoyed I’m Hungry. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it got what I wanted from it. A fun restaurant game to play. The only complaint I have with it is that the graphics are really blurry, and there is a lack of different character designs. If you like these types of games, consider picking this one up.
